Sometimes it seems you just can't wade through all the stuff you don't want to do but have to do to get to the things you really want to do. Contradictions. Ain't fair, but they're there. Lyrics Contradiction Everybody's headed somewhere. Everybody's going home. Everybody likes attention, but everybody wants to be left alone. Everybody has a secret. Everybody's got a dream. Everybody's got something they want to say, but everybody's not listening. I don't care what everybody thinks, or what they have to say. I just want to be like everyone else and do things my own way. Life is a contradiction. Every rise has a fall. Most people work their lives away never wanting to work at all. Everybody needs somebody. Everybody needs some time alone. Everybody's headed somewhere. But everybody won't make it home. Oh, I believe in magic. I believe in love. I believe our dreams come true if we believe enough. I don't have all the answers. Anymore I don't even try. I don't think I'd like to live forever, but I know I don't want to die. Life is a contradiction. That leaves me to wonder why. All the things I thought would last forever can be gone in the blink of an eye. Everybody's headed somewhere. Everybody has his own road. And no matter where you're going, I hope you make it home.
