	Lyrics The story: I started writing "Wakin'Up" in the mountains of Colorado Springs. I had been so wanting to explore writing in the r&b genre for a while. I wrote verses/hook/with lyrics on my 6 string acoustic and couldn't wait to get back to L.A. and hook up with my boys Mike Reagan and Mark Cross and see where they would take it. The three of us started re-working my rough idea up at Mike's studio in Laurel Canyon. We locked in the groove/re-addressed and re-worked the lyrics and wrote the bridge. A couple of weeks later we went to Marks home studio in Burbank and did the track. Such a good time as always!! I'll get pictures of the session up when I am able .
