	Story Behind the Song I first started working on Confusion in 1995. It was the first song I played when I joined the band, and it has been a popular song to play ever since. It was strongly influenced by Nirvana, which was current at the time it was written. It was also simple enough for me to play as a fledgling guitarist. Lyrics There's so many ways for us to talk up in space and down in a mine but still some are never heard throughout the course of our lifetime. You might wonder what we're about giving lectures cast in sand. Now is the time for us to say enough. It's so confusing, so contrite. You tell me I'm wrong but you're not right. You tie my hands - they make me fight. See the light as you lose it. Confusion. Kick the ball supercross changeling. Gastronomic expert chew on cud. Beat out your bearings break a string. Snap shoelace blackout drink a bud. Short changing pygmies stigmatise. As the pattern breaks down you realise now is the time for us to say enough.
