This song started out in 1998 as a nightmare vision of world destruction. The original idea behind the title "Ground Zero" was witnessing the focal point of the world's tragic end. The events of 9/11 changed our approach to the song. We could no longer keep the name and reference a hypothetical tragedy. Since we live in New York and experienced the events of that day, we decided to re-record "Ground Zero" and leverage our own emotions of living through such a horrible world event.

    Story Behind the Song
This song started out in 1998 as a nightmare vision of world destruction. The original idea behind the title "Ground Zero" was witnessing the focal point of the world's tragic end. The events of 9/11 changed our approach to the song. We could no longer keep the name and reference a hypothetical tragedy. Since we live in New York and experienced the events of that day, we decided to re-record "Ground Zero" and leverage our own emotions of living through such a horrible world event.

We tinkered with the lyrics we had and tried to grapple with subtext of evil that permeated the subject maater. The pure hatred that went into the planning and execution of the attacks seemed to be carried out through a pact with the devil. Although we are not religous people and this is in no way a religous song, we couldn't ignore the ironic fact that those responsible for such a depraved and horrid act beleived they were working for God.

Once we tightened up the chorus, the song fell together. It has taken us over 8 months to record, mix and produce this song along with a collection of 6 more. It seemed fitting to release this first and we will have more coming out over the next few months.

    Lyrics
    Ground Zero
    And the sky's all red
    I know what's happening
I left the world for dead

    Abandoned
    Caught in the center of
    Broken latitude
    And hell
    From the sky above

    Chorus:
And it's all growing out of control
    Pushing while the devil pulls
And it's all growing out of control
    Pushing while the devil pulls

    It's serious
Maybe this is how the world will end
    And god is furious
Under the weight of hate we descend

    Earthquakes
    The windows break
    And the fire singes sound
Scorches a sky that's raining meteors
and fire burns the dark night down

    Chorus:
And it's all growing out of control
    Pushing while the devil pulls
And it's all growing out of control
    Pushing while the devil pulls

You don't have to say that you love me ...

And it's all growing out of control
    Pushing while the devil pulls
And it's all growing out of control
    Pushing while the devil pulls
