Story Behind the Song
It was motivated to say that I know I am not always right, but I will not be decieved by the ways of another man. This song was written in Nashville, TN after I first arrived here. It came out pretty quick, it probably took a day. We recorded this cut of it in one day. Pretty much no retakes.
Lyrics
You really think you know me,
you think you really do,
your smile it only sugar-coats,
the sour-ness of you,
wasteful conversations,
common time frustrations,
I never should've listened,
though intruiging this position,
Maybe its me, Maybe you'll know,
Maybe we'll see the way that it goes,
Maybe its you Maybe who knows,
I guess maybe is the way that it goes,
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe
You really got it bad,
At least from where I'm at
and as the spot light moves,
Your always chasing it,
I percieve all your dreams,
they reflect mine so it seems,
I never should've listend,
though intruiging this postion,
Maybe its me, Maybe you'll know,
Maybe we'll see the way that it goes,
Maybe its you Maybe who knows,
I guess maybe is the way that it goes,
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe
Your craftieness articulates,
all the things that you manipulate,
you certify my doubt,
just by what your all about,
alone in your rendition
retaining recognition,
you certify my doubt,
just by what
your all about.
Maybe its me, Maybe you'll know,
Maybe we'll see the way that it goes,
Maybe its you Maybe who knows,
I guess maybe is the way that it goes,
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe
