Story Behind the Song
Sometimes love goes south and one day it maybe as sweet as summer while the next it maybe two below. The story behind this tune is about everyone of us who felt both ends of this monster called LOVE! My ex-drummer/song writer and great funny friend, Ken Dodge brought this song to me. It was ruff and needed some work. I spent almost two years off and on working on this tune with many great talented folks to get it to the point of where it is now. Mike Johnson, Aka MadTracker and his countless hours re-mastering and a magic touch (he is good!). Benny Quinn, MasterPhonics (Not Hydroponics or Hooked On Phonics) did all of the original mastered work. This guy is George Straight, Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain's top choice here in Nashville! Next Todd Walker a guitar prodigist came up from Memphis and stayed with me till his lead was added. That guy is AWESOME! The only person that I have ever seen pull a $5000. dollar guitar out of a sleeping bag or a few spare guitars in a backpack?.........O.K. Thinking back over two years on just this one song. WOW, thanks for making it number one in all regions world wide on the net for almost half a year straight! My heart can't tell you how that feels after all of the countless hours and dollars that I have spent. This has been one of the greatest moments of my life to see and feel where you have taken me, YOUR SO AWESOME TO ME!!!
THANK YOU,
Kris Allen
