Story Behind the Song
After all these years I still like this one. I don't beleive it was ever released but I still enjoy listening to it. I wrote this song about my first girlfriend and love who I should have stayed with but didn't. After 2 divorces and several affairs one learns what true love was a little late.
This was produced by Don Grashey and Chuck Williams and recorded in Gary Paxtons studio in Hollywood, California in the beautiful '60's. Peace, love, dove.........
Lyrics
And after it's over, life goes on the same
I'll tell them you were good to me
Our friends all tell us, it could never last
They say another can take you away
I tried to tell her, that love is the same
For love has beginning, no rules to the game
She's so good to me, she's so good to me
(Break)
She's there when I need her
Like sent from above
Arms so tender, lips made for love
First to love, first to pain
Caught in the rules of the lovin' game
I tried to tell her, that love is the same
For love has beginning, no rules to the game
She's so good to me, she's so good to me
She's good to me, she's good to me,
She's good to me, she's good to me.....
