Story Behind the Song
As stated above, this tune is a mix of Native American loops, electronic loops, flugel horn tracks, flugel horn solos and trumpet tracks. I used ACID by Sonic Foundry, a Courtois three valve flugelhorn and my brother's old LA Benge MLP trumpet. In a recent trip to South Dakota, I spent a day at the Crazy Horse monument site. I attended some films and bought some books from Native American authors who were on site selling their works. I was impressed with the level of spirituality expressed by these people there, Anglos and Native Amnericans alike. This had an affect on me as I put the final touches on this piece, which was started before the trip. The title is based on my feelings of this trip combined with a sense of awe in re-reading the story of Peter when he healed the lame beggar on the steps of the temple.
