Story Behind the Song
BUD:One day, I was taking a bath (nice picture, right?) and I suddenly started singing this melody and these words, which are the first three lines of the chorus. After I got out, I immediately picked up the guitar and wrote the rest of the song. The lyrics weren't finished until recently, actually, because I was hearing a second verse for a long time. Finally, recently, I heard one after I recorded the music for this demo. That's about it.
Lyrics
Long I spend my days
Dreaming of something more
But, when I'm calm
This storm it comes as you
Fumbling through a haze
Of ignorance and duty-born
I must try to fly to higher....
Grounded and deceived
In this dimwitted treachery
You'd take my hands
If I wore different clothes
Long I spend my days
Asking God to deliver me
To a place where you would know that....
I've got supersonic speed
Supersonic engineering
Supersonic everything
I've got supersonic speed
Supersonic engineering
Supersonic everything
And you
Can't give me what I need
You cripple all I say
You cripple all I say
You
Can't give me what I need
You blind me to the way
You blind me to the way
Long I spend my time
Believing in something more
Then what I see
Or what you see in me
Looking for a sign
That what I feel
And what's in store
Is something greater than I could have....
Hoping what I feel
Is hoping life is not this way
How can it be
When I am something more?
Tell me it's not real
The world is cold, out of control
How can this be, because I know that....
I've got supersonic speed
Supersonic engineering
Supersonic everything
I've got supersonic speed
Supersonic engineering
Supersonic everything
And you
Can't give me what I need
You cripple all I say
You cripple all I say
You
Can't give me what I need
You blind me to the way
You blind me to the way
