Story Behind the Song
(8.18.02) The barbarian-type theme to the Cimmerian Clan. Short but sweet. Music used for their flash intro.
Wowa... I like this one. Comprised of Soundfonts. Hope you like it. Used for an intro for the Cimmerian CS clan.
Here's what the Talented Writer, Justin Adkins wrote about this song: enjoy!
The black, swollen sky above tears open with the searing, razor edge of a
crystal white lightning bolt that stabs deep into the smoldering plain below
where a thousand soldiers march toward each other, throwing themselves into a
heated battle. Swords clang together with more noise and power than the
thunder above. Arrows pierce the sultry air and wind, hunting for flesh like
birds of prey.
In the heart of the firestorm and bloodshed, one man with arms of steel and
eyes of blazing passion cuts his way through the briar of glistening spears
and sword tips darkened with blood. Flesh meets the ringing edges of his own
lightning lit blade as he cuts his way through the opposing army, leading his
soldiers closer to victory. But thicker and thicker the suffocating dust
becomes around him, stirred by the beating rhythm of the onslaught. Louder
and louder are the screams of men and beast dying, the crackle and hiss of
the lightning, and the roar of the earth exploding its rage on the
mountaintops near by. If hell exists, he has found it.
Yet through it all, he still finds strength. His stone like body that stands
over those around him as if he were a statue is soft inside-his heart hanging
on thoughts of his wife and family. It was this image that made his eyes
glow brighter with fierce intent. A cry of honor and strength escapes his
lungs and lips. His scattered army replies with the same deafening roar,
feeding new life into their tired limbs. Blood sprays through clouds of dirt
like boiling rain. Faster and faster the battle becomes. Louder and louder
the rolling drums of the thunder get before the battle draws to a close.
The hard eyed leader pulls his blade free of the dark armored soldier at his
feet and peers into the thinning curtain of dust pulled off the scorched and
battle scarred hill. A golden sunrise opens the swirling, black veil of
clouds, blanketing his soldiers in a warm, comforting morning. Behind him,
their banner still waves. Around him, the signs of victory remain; and he
closes his eyes to think only of his home.
