    Story Behind the Song
The story behind the recording is,it was recorded wayyy back in April of 2002.I had to program the bassline so it would be consistent for Dave, and have a click for him to follow.(Somewhat of a difficult taks with all my odd-time sigantures.)He put his drums down in 2 takes!)
As far as the story behind the song....you wouldn't beleieve me if I told you!So just use your imagination and make up what you think it's about.I will say I haven't heard from the person I wrote this about for a while. I think maybe we briefly came into each others lives at a time when we needed to,as shortly after meeting me,she had a really bad day,and I was there to help cheer her up.Kinda hard to do when someone loses her job, boyfriend, and dog all on the same day! As someone said to me not too long ago,"We all have our days like that!" I was thinking I've never had a day THAT bad..but I would stand corrected, for as someone once said to me, "we all......"

    Lyrics

    Conspiracie en Rouge

Red dawn on an April morning, something caught my eye
Red alert inside my psyche said it wasn't right
Distant storm on the horizon blowing in full force
I turned around to run away, but turned and looked once more

Have you ever stopped to notice this big world is so small?
Minimal were the chances that these paths would cross
Yet I stumbled upon your deceptive conspiracy
One event can bend perception of your reality

You don't believe I'd help a stranger? Well, maybe I'm just naïve
But things happen for a reason is something I believe
A beggar man taught me a lesson that is still with me today
One good deed begets another, and always you are repaid

I tried so hard to sway your thinking and make you see the light
I was oblivious to the obvious right before my eyes
In my pursuit of justice, perhaps I crossed some lines
But eventually you acknowledged the severity of your crime

I guess that I should thank you what you put me through
Then again, I stepped in where nobody asked me to
Sometimes, you have to listen to the little voice inside
Maybe you'll stumble a little before you hit your stride

Red dawn on the first May morning, I think it looks okay
She extended the hand of friendship out to me this day
So again I will thank you for your deceptive ruse
Learn from it what you will, and start again anew
