    Story Behind the Song
A straightforward love song to my wife using the imagery of stars and space. (We're both big fans of Star Trek: The Next Generation). Seriously, it's about the sense that love is the art of "orbiting" each other and not colliding.

    Lyrics
    Star to Star

It's hard to catch in photographs who you really are
When where you are in life is looking from a star
Viewing us around you as other lights in space
Noticing how perfectly everything's in place

The dream created constantly is actually wide-awake
And the time before the sun comes up is dark for its own sake
Being is, loving is, these are truly who we are
Looking out at one another in the space from star to star

If I miss your brilliance it's I who is bedimmed
If you do not notice it shows up brighter still
In innocence the sun can't know we see it as a star
That will never stop it, no it will not stop it
From sharing with us all the light and warmth it will

So let me be beside you in the space from star to star
And never wonder why you are exactly who you are
Both of us can shine a light across the darkening space and
Honor one another exactly in their place.
