Written in the Late fall of 2001. This once again is another song that can be interpritated in a number of diffrent ways. It was written as an internal struggle with what happened on 9/11. It was mostly with me coping with it and how my dad worked so close to it. He saw the fireballs, he saw the people jumping out of windows, he was there. And I was so far away from it all. It was tough. It has a bitter look uppon things though, as in a 'why them and not me,' but it wasn't me. And because it wasn't me im happy in a selfish way. Could be taken religiously, could be taken metaphoricaly, but its just a stong hope that after all this killing and terror is over, that we finally find a peace, not only with the world, but within ourselves. |

Lyrics
As we pledge our allegiance to those flags above our heads
As we pledge our souls to that sky for the words,
"Only God Knows Why"
Heavens gate awaits
To this plague of religions
We claim no peace
We hold no trust
As I stand alone
Theres no trust
Theres no trust
So Alone
I prepare to combust
Our Lives were shattered on that day!!
Into pieces!!
Those responsible you will pay!!
We'll shatter you into pieces!!
But as we watch them fall
Like the tortured they have become
Mind, body, and soul
All are numb
The media held it like a plaque for all to see
As they fall
As we bleed from the inside
They are dead
For what purpose?
The life they led?
Looking up, watching the sky bleed
And yet I wish it all was me
Looking up, watching the sky bleed
And I thought it was filled with peace
Our lives were shattered that day!!
Into pieces!!
Those responsible you will pay!!
We'll bury you in a field made of thorns!!
You will not escape our wrath!!
You will pay for killing to many!!
Our lives were shattered that day!!
Into pieces!!
Those responsible you will pay!!
We'll shatter you, shatter you into pieces!!
