	The House of Alice are a band born from a part of Britain which means nothing in musical history or achievement, indie kids, rockers, Goths and rappers walk around in their own little groups and take great pleasure in scorning each other for their appearance. It is perhaps ironic then that this band treads a path, which steers away from all these preconceptions, and takes the bullshit out of making music. The band have endured line up changes during their time but Paul Parker (vocals/guitar), Gary Worrell (bass/vocals), Jason Chambers (drums) and Marc Swain (keyboards/vocals) are now firmly established as a driving force in the underground new music scene. Four more desperately difficult characters could not be found by choice, and how they ended up together can only be put down to unholy intervention. The bands sound echoes many areas of popular music including, hard rock, indie, blues and pop, but does not sit easily with any of these terms by themselves. They are as tight and hard as any good rock or blues band on the endless gigging circuit, but what they also display is a sense of melody and song content that many indie and pop bands would die for, so it is only by taking in all these musical influences that The House of Alice can really be defined. These qualities allow them to project a strong live performance devoid of Bon Jovi-esque pretensions, but endlessly more entertaining than the average Oasis show.
