15 minutes, 3 songs. A good illustration of the strangely beautiful chaos that was the live Aelitas experience. |

Story Behind the Song
Anji remembers:
"The live performances the Aelitas did were completely improv. We had no idea what we were going to do until we were actually doing it. Jake had a body of songs he'd written that he would tap into sometimes, but I didn't know the lyrics or even always of the melodies -- I just kinda faked it. It seemed like Jake got a kick out that fact, too! Some of our performances were a real power struggle, seeing who could sing or play louder than the other one -- like I've heard Velvet Underground were sometimes -- but other times there was a nice, quiet sympathy between us. This sampling has more of the latter than the former... The first track, "Waverly," was released as Celesteville, the second, "Oh My Stars," was an old Yak & or Yak Brigade song, I'm not sure which, and the last song I can't remember the title or which of Jake's many projects it was originally written for!"
