NEW NEW NEW!!! Here comes a little guitar skipping along and then blam, it's squashed hard by a Smart Apple signature wall of Gibson yum. Smooth lyrics cut through the heavy-heavy with a sharp Power Pop edge. Okay... um, this is the story of a man obsessed with looking at a fine young honey through his window. His dirty window. Voyeur. Ah, maybe he's not actually looking through an actual window. Maybe it's an analogy of sorts - maybe he's looking at porn on the Internet. You decide. Maybe this song is about you, you dirty window freaks. Thanks for listening. I'm always grateful for your support. |

Story Behind the Song
Here's what I typed to one of my friends about the song: I actually made up the rhythm of the song while unpacking one of my acoustics. Was just messing around. couldn't find a tape recorder to record the idea, so I used our voice mail. Then on Saturday I was sitting by the window in the sun playing my guitar and watching my youngest son play Thomas the Train Engine on one of our computers and I wrote the words. Layed the music tracks down Saturday night and then did the vocals Sunday, then cleaned up the mix on Sunday night. This one was fast and easy. I love it when that happens.
Lyrics
Ah, sunny day. Vision's clear - I can see for miles. And I'm watching her from my dirty window. Ah, does she know I'm here? Watching her from so far away. Does she care, does she fear? That I'm watching almost every. And I'm throwing kisses through broken glass, as the wind blows. And I'm watching her from my dirty window. Ah, it's still a sunny day. I will not blink and I'll wait a while. It's just like every other day. I'll wait for hours just to see her smile. And I'm watching her from a dirty window. And tomorrow I'll be sitting here watching her from my window. Dirty window...
