    Story Behind the Song
    Four Winds presents "A Christmas Concert" by the acclaimed Pittsburgh Symphony Brass. The delightful mix of carols and traditional holiday music evokes the splendid joys of the season, and will warm the hearts of all who listen. With renowned Chicago producer Arnie Roth at the helm, the session was recorded in the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Pittsburg in July, 2000.
    This is the group's second album on Four Winds. Their debut album was the highly praised recording of Bach's final masterpiece "The Art of Fugue." American Record Guide called the performance a "magnificent, extended example of first rate playing, with beautiful tone qualities, impeccable intonation, and polished execution." The Pittsburgh Tribune Review wrote "In the first complete recording by brass ensemble (Bach: The Art of Fugue), the Pittsburgh Symphony Brass players rack up a momentous achievement." Sir Andre Previn stated "Brass ensemble playing cannot possibly be any more virtuosic or musical..."
