This song was written for my father, Jim Magette. He never got to hear it but it came from him anyway. He was a real tribute to man and will be greatly missed !!!!!
    Credits: Tim & Susan Donnelly

    Story Behind the Song
Song was written on a very sad night. It was the night before my father ,Jim Magette, died. He had been FIGHTING cancer and it took it's toll on him. In his own way, he won the fight. He never let it change him or take away his love for people and life. He took care of me and I will always have him with me. inside me.
I Didn't have to work at it and probably couldn't write it if I tried. Origonally title " The Pain Is On The Inside ". and has had a few changes since that night. The 2nd part of the song comes from a melody my wife Susan came up with as she sang "Turn the Light on for Me " on a song we started while thinking about what those poor people trapped under the Murrah Building in Okc or the Twin Towers of NYC must have felt. It lended itself perfectly to this song so it was added. Susan has been learning piano(keyboard) and we will soon get some songs together online. Keep an eye out.
The song was recorded on my new Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro program while trying it out for the first time. This is the first take and I felt it was best that way (too just do it and let it stand ). I only used 1 of the 32 tracks available. Ha ! look out 32 tracks can lead to a real mess.

    Lyrics
If the lyrics had made it on the song, they would have simply been :

    THERE'S BEEN TIMES
    WHEN I FELT PAIN
    AND OTHER TIMES,
    IT'S ALL THE SAME
    BUT THIS TIME,
    I'M SAD TO SAY
    THIS TIME,
    THE PAIN IS
    ON THE INSIDE .
