Story Behind the Song
Who are the people in life that can hurt you the most? Parents? Teachers? Friends? Your Boss? X-girlfriends? How about ALL OF THE ABOVE? Well, this song was written about ALL of them. In 1992 I had some challenges with certain people and I didn't know how to handle the stress and pressure. So, just like ALL my songs, the best way to release pain and frustration is to put words to music. I hope like and I hope YOU understand!
Lyrics
(1st Verse)
Everytime it's the same,
no matter what I do I have to play your game.
No matter what I say,
you always question me, why do I do it this way?
"You always ask why."
*(Chorus)
Is it hard for you to see that I just wanna be me?
It's so hard for you to see.
You don't understand the things I do,
you don't understand my point of view,
whatever it is that I'm saying to you,
you say you don't understand, no you don't.
No you don't understand the things I do,
you don't understand my point of view,
whatever it is that I'm saying to you,
you say you don't understand, no you don't.
You don't understand.
(2nd Verse)
I've got decisions to make,
now if you disagree you'll say I made a mistake.
It seems that what I choose
is never good enough, it's like I always lose.
"I can never win." *
(3rd Verse)
I feel I've lost my voice,
I can't speak my mind, you seem to give me no choice.
It's like my thoughts don't belong,
cause what I think is right to you is always wrong.
"I'm never right." *
