Graffiti artists roam the streets and every artist has their day eventually...this is one account of that.
CD: Bittersweet Nightshade   Label: Flooded Garage Records
Credits: Written By Phil Coppola, Justin Cottrell, Dean Coppola, Nathan Hogan, and Jim Berthold. Addtional Performance by Lee Parvin. Produced by Lee Parvin with Belligerence.

    Story Behind the Song
Another song from Belligerence. My buddy Kope and his bro Deen 66 do graffiti - this song is a synopsis of the NorCal Graffiti artist. Nate came up with the bass line, and my guitar just fell in with the drums.

    Lyrics
the walls are goin down, goin down now they're goin down down down my mind's blown it's scorchin hot from paint fumes another creature of the night while the new moons and venues / metabolism changes when the sun goes down and if you spot me late at night I'm probably paintin the town /I've collected my thoughts risky business alone cause life's a little different when you disrupt the ozone / my eyes stay tinted even without glasses uniforms entrances givin me those ill glances / I move swiftly undercover of the night 20th century nomad relying on hindsight / gettin up you think I'm everywhere at once I'm droppin bombs not blunts and I'm drivin the city nuts / the master of the puppets in the play pullin strings and crime sprees cause every dog has its day / the mind what a terrible thing to waste I don't have a law degree but let me state my case / in the ritz the kettle's yellin back at the pot but you never understand cause I'm punchin my own clock food for thought? it got stuck in your throat read the writin on the wall and not just what I wrote / so tell me who knows the answer to the riddle from the rooftop pro I'm like the man with the fiddle / a complex kid who hangs with the mellow tribe he's in his own world and creatin his own vibe / intelligence with flava generates the fusion and if your late in your mind why change your illusion / cause I'm describin on the CD the last free speech children of the walls makin calls to impeach / modern day prophets in a world gone mad doin more bombin than the missions in Baghdad / attackin with graffiti it can't be censored because we got more paint than the city's got cleanser / the undercovers roll up and I'm treated like a criminal but what about those billboards with messages so subliminal / suppressive egos choose to govern this way but that's ok cause every dog has its day / (chorus) every dog has it's day but you better keep an eye on those uniform thugs / every dog has its day and those donut shop dwellers are makin me bug the walls are goin down, they're goin down now, they're goin down down down, the walls are goin down, they're goin down now, they're goin down down down (end chorus) / ... choose to speak on our culture but the scavengers don't know I'm comin off like a vulture you know my late night lifestyle can get quite hostile discussin my meanings in your world that so docile / cap that lid or old stories I'll tell about venturing after dark to either heaven or hell I'm at a homeless campsite strainin my eyesite rooftops with much light at the first break of daylight / mountain bike bombers in the land of the lost adrenalin rushes leave my stomach in knots I'm travelin by hookers drug dealers and gangsters one eye goes wild for those batched ten fingers / the plan of the man is to conquer my division my kids are not from that plan may not speak our incisions because its urban warfare we're makin it quite clear the seas of revolutions are known to strike fear / a rollin stone gathers no moss so they say constantly movin cause every dog has its day / (repeat chorus to end).
