Story Behind the Song
The song is about a young and greedy mercenary (samurai), who recieved offers to join a battle from both rival parties. But both sides offered the same amount of money, so the mercenary could not decide which side to fight for, before the battle was all over him and he got killed.
Lyrics
Sitting in silence, try to reach for the daylight
I haven't had time, to choose a side for my last fight
I'm feeling so numb, paralyzed by the news, I just recieved
Never before, I needed more
To take control, and play my part
(But not now)
Water strikes ground, as it's banished from heaven
Decision is hard, since the offers are even
The fields lie open, there's no sign of a battle
I must decide, I still need more
To make a choice, and play my part
(But it's too late)
Out from nowhere came the battle cry
A roar is soaring, and I cannot try
to focus on my thoughts, it's now too late to hide
The ground is shaking from a thousand feet
They're running towards me, too late for retreat
No matter what side I choose, they cannot see which side I'm on
The burning flame in the fighter's eye
They're blinded by hatred, the enemy must die
I'm caught between to fires, on no man's land
No where to run
No where to hide
stand up and fight
fight for your life
No where to run
- I'm not ready to die
No where to hide
- I've should have chosen a side
stand up and fight
- There's no escape in sight
fight for your life
- They're closing in on me
