	Story Behind the Song Bellingham, Washington has enough rain each year that the residents have to call it "liquid sunshine". Nestled in the foothills of the Cascades, this small city on the Puget Sound has long, grey rainy winters, followed by rainy springs interlaced with rainbows. This song was written during the spring. It started with the chord progression and went from there. The lyrics are quite simple, but capture the feeling of a place that gets easliy "left out of the loop" of world affairs.
