	Written by obscure Jazz composer Billy Barnes in 1957, SOMETHING COOL was originally recorded brilliantly by June Christy. It was released on Capitol Records.
	Lyrics The story telling lyrics were the appeal of this song for me. Definitely female, writer Billy Barnes weaves the inner thoughts of a woman decidedly alone having a drink at a bar. The truth of this story is timeless as it paints the picture of a woman lost in longingness. It's theme is similar to Billy Strayhorn's gorgeous ballad, "Lush Life" which I will be recording shortly.
