	Story Behind the Song This song came as a result of my family history search. Which led me into Philippine history and the Philippine-American War by way of a book by Stanley Karnow entitled "In our Image". This book delves into facts based on recently declassified information regarding the U.S. involvement in the Philippines. Most revealing though is the chapters on the Philippine-American War and the period after the Declaration of Independence. Subjects omitted in Philippine history textbooks. This song is my attempt at a history lesson in five paragraphs packaged in a hummable melody based on old Ilocano song traditions like the pasion, dallot and the dung-aw. A lament about a forgotten war and its present day consequences. It was written in Diego Garcia, BIOT almost the same time as "Kawawa sa Mundo". This was also recorded at MYX Studios in Singapore. It took only one take, the first one I ever recorded. One of two I recorded that day as told in the "Kawawa sa Mundo" liner notes. I had to edit it a little bit when I got back to the US with a freeware music editor. It is my personal favorite so far of the 20 or so songs I have completed. I delayed the planned release date due to recent events in the US and the Philippines. The song title means "A Hundred Years" in English. The version in Pilipino is my Filipino side speaking. The English version which I have not recorded yet in my American side. My hope is this song may bridge the centuries old love hate relationship between the US and the Philippines.
