An improvisational piece from our Inner Ear studios recording.
    Label: Liberation Through Hearing
    Credits: Eulogy

    Story Behind the Song
Music & lyrics were improvised in late evening on June 9 2002 at Inner Ear Studios in Arlington, VA. The lyrics follow a theme which is that of my experiences working on fish trawler boats in Alaska. The boat that me & Butch worked on, the Navigator, now lies at the bottom of the Bering Sea, having been sunk on purpose to create an artificial reef. I have nightmares where the hell reality of the fishing boat connects with the hell reality of my high school - where I'm trapped in a labyrinth world of locker rooms full of pollock fish innards.

    Lyrics
The way motion rivets through our bodies here....
How long have I stood in this hallway
    The sea climbs
    She wants to see
    Her newborn
Trembling with the horror of her mass
    We strain to stay afloat
We watch of the hands of the clock
It was like someone sewed them underneath our skin
I never knew what time it is
    Hope to see you again
    Way out there
A yellow light moves up & down on the water
Someone told me it was a floating city
I have these dreams where all the rooms connect together
Sometimes it's like with my school
    Connecting to the different rooms
Their mouths are opening & grinning
I put my hands down their throats
I poked my fingers through the openings of their eyes.......
Hey brother it's cold down there
