	Story Behind the Song This is a very sweet and funny song about my friend Tiffany. She's a vegetarian and a big fan of all things girlie--girlie cartoons (Powerpuff Girls, Hello Kitty, Barbie, etc.), girlie fashions, girlie colors (pink is a favorite), and whatnot. Anyway, I wrote this sweet and funny song because Tiffany is sweet and funny. I wrote this song at the TGI Friday's restaurant where Tiff works. She saw me writing notes on some of my lyric sheets and I told her I was making production notes, so that I would save time once I started recording. She told me I should write a song for her. I did. Forty-five minutes later, this is what I had. I recorded this song in our home studio using a Taylor acoustic/electric guitar, a Yamaha 5-string bass, the Boss DR-770 Drum machine and the Digi 001 with ProTools software. Lyrics it's the oldest of cliches "when it rains, it pours" but when I talked to you that night my heart broke right along with yours I didn't know what to say so I didn't say a thing I just packaged up some love and found a song to sing when you're on a cloud called nine I'm on the same cloud too and when you start to cry you know I'll cry along with you it does my heart some good that you don't have to say a thing and when you send a smile my way it fixes everything when I see a cartoon kitty or I see the color pink you're the one that lingers in my mind when I think you say "meat is murder" and I try to sensitize entertaining thoughts of you brings laughter to my eyes have some lentils, have some tofu tell me what you have to go through I'd like to say on my behalf you're the one who always makes me laugh when you're on a cloud called nine I'm on the same cloud too and when you start to cry you know I'll cry along with you it does my heart some good that you don't have to say a thing and when you send a smile my way it fixes everything when you send a smile my way it fixes everything
