	Story Behind the Song The Maldive Islands were adopted by the English town of Knutsford, for The Commonwealth Games 2002. In response, I wrote this song about the Maldive Islands, which I had visited about 12 years ago. I was fortunate enough to be able to sing to to the maldivian team and the President of their Olympic Committee, when they all visited Knutsford on the 30th July, 2002.I am pleased to say that they liked it.
