Story Behind the Song
A marriage that came to an end..and finding someone that accepts/supports me as the musician/songwriter that I've always been. Song took about a day to write, and a month to hone it where I wanted it. About six takes, since I kept fluffin'the words.
Lyrics
Well I cried myself to sleep last night.
How bout you, how ya doin'?
Well, you'll be alright.
It's not the days, but the nights that seem to last so long.
How bout you, do you think this could be all wrong?
(CHORUS)
You never have much to say, you just turn your head and walk away.
Takin' it day by day..How 'bout you.
Well, now a whole week's gone by and I was just wondering why.
How bout you, is it true that your feelin this way too?
(Repeat Chorus)
Well, now a whole month's gone by and I feel like I could die.
How bout you, are you all alone, waitin' by the telephone.
(Repeat Chorus)
It's been six long months I never ever thought once, I'd fall in love again.
How bout you, are you through. Well I'm guessin' that you knew.
That this day would come along that I'd be singin' you this song.
How bout you, is it through I'll bet you always knew.
(Repeat Chorus)
