	Story Behind the Song 6794700 is a telephone number for an Irish preganancy/abortion councelling service. Thousands of Irish women used this service to get information on travelling to England for abortions. Abortion in Ireland was and is illegal. In the wake of the X case, a 14 year old rape victim who was denied the right to leave Ireland to obtain an English abortion, the phone number itself was made illegal, raising the issue of the right to have information. Women fought back, writing the number everywhere we could. We put the number to music.
