    Story Behind the Song
A last minute addition to the CD. Jeff and I used to do this one in our old band Campfire Conspiracy, and I've done it as a solo song for the last couple of years. I always loved Jeff's part. Tara bugged me for a long time about playing this song, and we did this arrangement for the CD. She sounds amazing singing it too, so I'm glad we did it! - Jay

I had to fight for this one.....I love this song...Jay sings it sooo well...it's such a beautiful song...thanks for letting me cover it. - Tara

I've played this song in many bands. Some with Jay some without. It's always a great "moment" in a set. Great tune - Jeff

I heard this tune for the first time when they recorded it. It's definitely the "pretty" tune on the album in my opinion. - Mark

Honestly, I think it's one of the strongest tracks on the album, probably because of its simplicity. - Drew

    Lyrics
And these little pieces, I 've held them so long
And still I don't know, where they all belong
Some, they might find their way into a song
As for the rest, well I wonder...

And as for mistakes, I've made plenty I guess
Broken hearts, busted teeth, all of the rest
Hoping the next chance won't be like the rest
And not turn into one more blunder

When I was a girl, well I didn't much care
About why I was where I was how I got there
But as I grew older I became aware
Of all of these little pieces

Don't tell him I told you, but he's sort of shy
I know I've embarrassed him plenty of times
But he's still around, guess I'll never know why
Maybe some spell that he's under

When I was a girl, well I didn't much care
About why I was where I was how I got there
But as I grew older I became aware
Of all of these little pieces

When I was a girl, well I didn't much care
About why I was where I was how I got there
But as I grew older I became aware
Of all of these little pieces

And these little pieces, I 've held them so long
And still I don't know, where they all belong
Some, they might find their way into a song
As for the rest, well I wonder...
