Happy to have my girl, no matter what the weather's like. |

Story Behind the Song
This is my newest song, probably written in 2000. Just finished the drum and bassline (Concertmate-1000 keyboard) July, 2002.
My songs are getting way too cheerful, but I suppose I live a good life, anyway, this is a love song about ignoring all the bad stuff by focusing on the Sunny Weather sitting next to you, in this case my wife.
On the other hand, Sunny Weather could be an exotic dancer I met once (well..it could be...really...it could be).
Actually this song started with the words "Damn the weatherman, heads are gonna roll." I don't know where I heard that phrase, I think on the radio, but it stuck in my head.
Lyrics
Damn the weatherman;
Heads are gonna roll.
Promising sunshine;
Giving us rain.
Don't it seem like winter time;
Man, it's gettin' cold.
Bump up that thermostat;
Forget those days of gold.
Chorus:
But I got Sunny Weather
Sittin' next to me...
Cold as winter;
Hotter than hell.
Nice to see ya, gal;
Damn you're lookin' swell!
Damn that weatherman;
Heads oughta roll.
Promised sunshine, and,
All it does is rain.
Chorus...
