An extremely moving, emotional and intense ballad about losing touch with your oldest and closest childhood friend. A song that also looks at the emotions of youth, friendship and commitment from a standpoint further down the road in life. A road where time has stripped away the blissful ignorance of youth. This song is dedicated to my oldest and dearest friend who I met on my very first day at Kindergarten many, many, many years ago. Robbie Sexton...this ones for you.

    Story Behind the Song
This song is the most important song to me out of all of the songs I have ever written and recorded. So much so that I have never had the emotional strength to re-record it. Until now. What you hear in this recording is the original demo from 1984. The updated version will be on my new CD to be released next year.
I wrote this song in about 10 minutes on my Baby Grand Kawai after attending my 5 year High School reunion back in 1984. I immediately booked time in a local recording studio that afternoon, spent $90 and cut this demo in one take. There are a couple of mistakes and tempo rushes here and there but the overall honesty and emotion of the performance is, in my opinion, something that would be hard for me to top.
