Story Behind the Song
I think the best songs are those that are written from personal experience. Someone once told me I should write about what I know. This song was the first one I wrote after receiving that advice.
My father died when I was 7 years old. That event probably impacted my life more than I will ever know. I wrote this song about my dad. I never really knew him but he shaped my life nonetheless.
