	Story Behind the Song Half of the song was written on my 20th and the other half was written the week of my 21st birthday. It chronicles a year where we seek independence and first feel the repercussions of that freedom. Lyrics -farewell to faking lives guess I never was and never will be just make believe in better times I’ll serenade lost faith when reasons just can’t save me cause faith means everything right now while I’m falling down –(chorus) and I know these times are caving in and I’ll see through lies you can never break no more excuses for the choices that I make my motives are changing past constants rearranging memories slowly fading out out now that this lease is decaying the pressure’s accumulating and I know why I need saving now -on to make the same mistakes again with different endings and broken promises I’ll find where this lull in life ends and where I’ll begin I’m losing what I’ve made with no gain things just change so sad to me this all had to fall apart to find something to say (chorus) –(bridge) these feelings are just a subtle reminder of where I’m supposed to be so don’t let me lose faith in new things when the fear that I’ve swallowed convinces me this is as good as it gets (chorus) (bridge)
