Story Behind the Song
This was a Craig and Charlie song they wrote together. This was the begining of Blue Cheese switching over from Electric stuff to the back to basic's style they eventually wound up at. Craig provides the harmony on this track, and possibly wrote some of the words.
Lyrics
There's a little dirty woman on the side of the street,
She's looking up at me but she can't speak.
She's got a poem in her hand and she's holding it high,
It's a message to the world saying she must die.
There's a proud business man and he's standing at her feet,
And he's looking around but he can't see.
She's got a cup in her hand and she's holding it high,
Money in his hand and he's holding it tight.
The little dirty woman is not on his mind,
all his concerns are his money and his time.
When he gets home he'll eat and go to bed,
by the end of the week she'll probibly be dead.
The woman is clutching the cup at his knees
when the light turns green he doesn't see.
Knocks the cup from her hands, spills the coins to the street,
he doesn't understand she's reality.
Worry about the earthquakes, cry when the bed shakes.
Forget about the people, living with the bellyaches.
Worry about the earthquakes, cry when the bed shakes.
Forget about the people, living with the bellyaches of life.
Worry about the earthquakes, cry when the bed shakes.
Forget about the people, living with the bellyaches.
Worry about the earthquakes, cry when the bed shakes.
Forget about the people, living with the bellyaches of life.
