	Story Behind the Song The song was very loosely inspired by hearing a Randy Newman perform a song (Real Emotional Girl) on Saturday Night Live. If I remember correctly, I believe an episode of ER might have had something to do with this as well. About the most interesting thing about the recording of this song was that without a guitar preamp and recording the acoustic guitar directly, I had to strum quite loud to get an acceptable level for recording. Not strange, but I can imagine a few apartment neighbours were pretty angry when it was recorded at 2 in the morning. Lyrics she's only 22/ she's a good girl, she's a strong girl/ but her heart will broken when the night is through/ with some time, she'll be fine/ she'll forget all about it when she's had some wine/ but she'll be back again/ she's only 22/ what does she know? what does she care?/ when the next evening comes, there'll be somebody else there/ and she can throw his arms around him and a smile will return/ but will she ever learn?/ no, no/ she's only 22/ she's a young girl, a naive girl/ believes everything that she hears is true/ not a kid anymore in her dress-up clothes/ modelling in make-believe fashion shows/ she's a big girl now and everybody knows/ she's only 22/ she's a weak girl
