The Choices that people make sometimes to stay alive sometimes cost them their lives. We often hear their cries but it is impossible to help them find their way. |

Story Behind the Song
This song was written not about one person but about too many people. How we struggle with habbits and addictions how hard we find it to change. It starts as a poem, with the prelude, which is not part of the song but listed in the song lyrics.
Lyrics
Choices (Cigarette Song)
(Prelude)
She stares out the window at the nothingness that is her reality.
Her perception clouded by memories of things that could have been.
The clock on the wall seems to stand still,
but time races by so quickly that age catches up with her.
The lines on her face draw a picture of the battles she waged.
Some she won if you can call what she gained a victory.
Others merely took a toll on her sanity.
(verse)
Another cigarette burns in the ashtray on the table,
as she gives herself away.
Can*t stop just yet, she feels the need but she*s not able,
it*s the game she chose to play.
She tries to cry but no tears will fall.
She hears the voice but can*t heed the call.
She tries to run but can only crawl,
And in the end she gets nowhere at all.
Another shot rings out and innocence lay bleeding,
With dreams we*ll never see.
A world of fear and doubt, brings no comfort to their grieving,
As they set his spirit free.
They try to cry but no tears will fall.
They hear the voice but they can*t heed the call.
They try to run but can only crawl,
And in the end they get nowhere at all.
