Story Behind the Song
Written in Bath by a traveller who heard my voice and gave me a book of poems and said you make them into songs cos I'm going on a bender and I'll trash them.
Lyrics
Dreaming Most Every Day
Well I was so much younger then,
and the skies were always blue
I used to sit and dream of all
the things in life I,d do
Ah! but dreaming got the best of me
They tried to take away my liberty
But I,m still here and I,m dreaming,
dreaming most every day.
Cos I,m dreaming, dreaming most every day
Yes I,m dreaming dreaming most every day
Well those smiling faces I loved so much
and used to know so well
Time is catching up with them
and its after me as well
Well it gets so lonely
that nothing seems to rhyme
go out of tune, go out of time
But I,m still here and I,m dreaming
dreaming most every day.
Cos I,m dreaming, dreaming most every day,
Yes I,m dreaming, dreaming most every day.
