Story Behind the Song
This was the first song that we wrote together and recorded at TRayD's house using Cakewalk. The sound isn't bad... his sound card went on the fritz (Pinnacle) and he had to break down and use an old Creative SoundBlaster 16, which is why you have some 'humming' in the background. Other than that, the recording came out good. It is a scratch track, meaning we intend to re-record this song in the future, but for the sake of our fans, we decided to put something up on the site which they could listen to. The song itself is about how God takes care of you no matter where you are and what you are doing. It's about a single woman who has divorced/left her husband because they don't get along anymore, and how she has to struggle to survive every day even though she doesn't have her husband to rely on anymore. God is the only one left in her life she can rely on to take care of her.
Lyrics
D O N ‘ T W O R R Y
Music by TRayD, Fernando Navarro, and Mike Reynaud.
Lyrics by Zane Valdez, Alex Valdez, Brandy Carrillo, and Tony Duran.
Intro: (Zane and Brandy)
Don't you worry, He won't let it…
string you up emotionally when you feel your hearts’ dejected.
Don't you worry, He won't let it…
string you up emotionally when you feel your heartss dejected.
Verse: (Zane)
We can't rhyme in the same room no more.
Quarter before four and I'm waiting for you to walk through our door but you're
easily influenced, can't hold nothing with substinence, you though to love me was a chore.
And, I can't be in attendance. My presence is no longer ignored... Used to bench press condescendence.
You can’t restore the heart without a little repentence.
I will soar in my independence.
Chorus:
I will never fear, the hazy grays and blue's of change to a brighter day.
I will volunteer an atmosphere of praise to gaze upon a sunny day.
I will never fear, the hazy grays and blue's of change to a brighter day.
I will volunteer an atmosphere of praise to gaze upon a sunny day.
Verse: (Zane)
In a worry-some war of woes...
A wasteful heart is wayward and weak
The wealth of a soul weaves a web of wisdom and balance
A wretch like me is so unworthy of such works and words of encouragement
that finally... The fear will subside; He will arrive.
Bridge: (Alex)
They keep poisoning our people,
government leaders of them lies.
Promise inspiration but keep shortening our stride.
Run us in the ground and dance around our graves.
Tell us that we're free but we're really enslaved.
I say the rhythm of my love is in the garden of sound.
Diggin’ out my spirit there's no holdin’ me down
Acoustic alchemy because I've gone against the grain.
What a pretty picture but I'm thinkin' out the frame.
Bridge 2: (Tony)
Now what you mean "don't worry" I've been walking down this road for too long now...
And, I've done seen things that'll blow your mind into pieces.
Even before you could turn around and wish you never had to witness this.
The internal thickness of sadness.
The heartache comes and the headache’s go.
And, tomorrow was never promised… see
Where you are I once walked the walk and talked the insanity
Dreams broken like glass thrown from the hands of the madness
Interlude: (Zane and Brandy)
Don’t you worry, He won’t let it
String you up when you’re dejected.
Don’t you worry, He won’t let it
String you up when you’re dejected.
