	Story Behind the Song I went walking along part of the canyon trail at Silver Falls State Park one spring afternoon. I began with a snippet of music in my head, and at each turn of the trail, each different waterfall, the music in my head morphed into different themes and melodies. Scribbling cryptic notes to myself on a map of the park (the only paper I had with me), I managed to preserve these ideas long enough to go home and develop the piece at the dulcimer.
