	Story Behind the Song I describe it as a theme song for fund-raisers, as that's what it was written for. While the song isn't at all in the style of the Beatles, inspiration came from one of their lyrics that, if I recall correctly, said, "…in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." Lyrics "Giving" I've been searching for strength to believe In the power of love in this world where we live. All of the love we hope to receive Is determined by how much we're willing to give. There are so many so much in need; We must not close our hearts to the things that they lack. We add to our treasure when conscience we heed; What we have is a blessing. It's only a blessing. What we have is a blessing only, when it's given back. The power of love will rule in the end; We will be judged by the lessons we've learned; And our final reward will one day depend On love that's been given and love that's returned. Give not for what you hope to receive; Give not expecting that you will be blessed; Give from your heart because you believe Between giving and taking, taking and giving, Between giving and taking, giving is best.
