	Story Behind the Song I was thinking about something funny the other day. I was thinking about what would happen if someone had a pet chicken. That's not the punch line yet. But I don’t think this joke has a punch line, more of a situation comedy. Okay; when the chicken turns five the owner enrolls her at school. After a few weeks of observation the teacher organizes a meeting with the principal, the school counselor, and the 'parent' of the chicken. However, the teacher doesn't point out the fact that the student is a chicken. Instead the teacher informs the parent of the chicken that the chicken may have Attention Deficit Disorder, and gives the parent a script for Ritalin. Through the years the chicken continues to pass the grades, but before entering year seven there is another meeting. This time the parent organizes it. The chicken is waiting in the other room, it doesn't change anything, but while it is waiting it lays an egg. Anyway, the parent wants to discuss the report card. According to the report card the chicken has very poor reading skills, poor oral presentation, bad manners, poor comprehension skills, less than adequate handwriting ability, and has little to no grasp of the number theory being taught in mathematics. The parent blames the school, claiming that the teachers are all hacks and saying the institution is a disgrace. The school district then loses its state accreditation. They move to another city, and enroll the chicken in a local high school. Everything goes fine until tenth grade when she starts to get bullied. A meeting is organized and the principal of the school says to the parent, "Dude, it's just a chicken. Why did you send it to school?" The parent experienced a moment of clarity, and took his chicken home. The moral of the story is that humans have a 70 something years lifespan. Chickens only have a 17 years life span, so by the time they graduate they'll be dead. And that's why chickens don't go to school.
