	Story Behind the Song The motivation was the neighborhood I used to live in. W. 14th st in NYC was very different a few years ago. There were alot of people struggling with poverty & living on the street. It had an impact on me. The lyrics were an attempt to tell the story of a girl who was living on the street. I was more trying to be an observer. The song was written in my tiny 6th floor walk up. It was an amazingly creative space for me. It was written and rewritten several times over a couple of years, but the very last time I recorded it pretty quickly, maybe a day or so.É Lyrics By day he hides and walks right, walks right, right by the corner and ignores her, still she waits and waves... from this side - she calls in the night and lives a nameless fame, see her pass so fast in the fury, she's livin' in the life and you either die or you fight in a West Side Story.....
