Story Behind the Song
I made this track under the direct influence of The Future Sound Of London. I remember to have been deeply impressed by their albums "Dead Cities" and "ISDN", and their achievements in terms of spatial amplitude and environment creation are still references for my own music.
This said, this track made a difference with the rest of my music in many ways. I tried to make the music more narrative than usual, and so I made various sections with very different materials one from another. I also got much "darker" than I normally do, specially at the end of the song when the music enters a sort of chaos, finally broken by the repetition of the initial chords which appear like daylight after a storm.
Besides the fact of this "menacing" atmospheres, the end of the song is also interesting because it is probably my first serious approach into electroacoustic music as I tried to use sound just for the sake of sound, free of any rhythm or harmony constraint; all the textures were made by means of the Kyma system, which I use currently in my electroacoustic pieces, such as the Poms. (Petit Musical Objects, see below in this songlist).
