    Story Behind the Song
The music was written in a loft, on a baby grand on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe [While performing at Squaw Valley] in the week up to Christmas, 1983. It was recorded at Central Recording Studios, Bower View, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland in an analog environment in two sessions. The first session for piano, drums, bass and the BBC audio background, and then I found an Uilleann and Scottish piper for the representation of the two religious traditions heard in the track. When I returned to the States, a handful of sessions were necessary to transfer the analogue master into a digital master. I added marching snare to capture the feel of the marching season, Dulcimer, harp, 12 string guitar, and church bells for invective to complete the production. I never considered the composition in the context that it exists now. More on this track at: http://www.ontopofacloud.com
