    Story Behind the Song
Unfortuntaly, there isn't really a motivation for the song! Well not that I've been told anyway. And I personally don't want to comment on the lyrics. The song was written by Jo in her bedroom in March 2002. It's taken until July to record it. It took about 5 or 6 hours to record and arrange and then another hour to mix and master. From a production point of view, this track has been one of the hardest. As it's a piano based track. So that feel had to be kept, guitars are kept to a minium. with a Wah-Guitar slightly in the left speaker and a Picked Electric, that also plays a RnB inspired riff in the second verse. Other than that the bass was played on a 5-String to get the extra definition. And there are rhodes and string parts, just to fill things out a bit.

    Lyrics
    Verse 1:
    Hello,
    It's been a while I know.
    How you been keeping,
    Please introduce your friend.
She seems nice, a little brunette,
Just your type, she'll be good for you.
And I gotta admit you look great together too.

    And standing here,
    I am honestly surprised,
    That I mind.

    Chorus:
But it's the wrong way round,
    You should be missing me.
This is a long way down,
From how we used to be.
    But your moving on,
    And I'm left holding,
    Only shadows of you.

    Bridge:
    So how did you meet?
    Tell me all about it.
Was it love at first sight?
Did you fall for his fabulous chat up line?
"So you're with me" made me cringe.
    No, I don't have a man,
    Men are too much trouble,
But I don't need to tell you that.
Ooh, hey, that's a beautiful ring.

    Verse 2:
    Goodbye,
    We should get together sometime.
    You got my number,
Feel free to call, I'm always around.
So nice to meet you, I wish I could stay,
But I got so much too do, and it looks like rain.
    But I wish you well.

And I mean what I say,
    It just sadens me,
That we used to be that way.

    Chorus

    Outro:
    And does she love you?
    Like I loved you?
