	Story Behind the Song Rat Ranch recorded "World Doesn't Lie" just a few months after Brett joined the band in January 1997. He had performed the song with his former band Lookout, and it became his first Rat Ranch song. Fans may remember the song from live shows of 1997-99. The song concerns how people often look for outside forces to blame, rather than accepting responsibility for their own actions. The world doesn't lie to us or misguide us. "She" is merely our home, and was spinning long before we came on the scene.
