Pink Floyd gets saved. Our most politically incorrect song. Seven minutes of a funky mix loud female vocals, louder guitar, balanced by mellow strings, and a tight drum beat. If you like music outside of the typical cookie cutter mold this is one you have to hear. by Red Clay. |
CD: Red Clay, Self Titled
Label: independant
Credits: Jason and Melissa Kadinger |
Story Behind the Song
This song was one of our first written in '98 in a one bedroom apt, before we had much to speak of for 'gear.' The lyrics speak for themselves in that the road that leads to life is narrow and there is only One Way. It was a guitar effects overload at first when our 'band' was Jason on guitar and Melissa singing. Melissa has since taken up bass gtr. and piano, and we have a cool drummer so we don't have to rely on effects as much. Years later we've been blessed with a house equiped with a studio. We chose this song off of the cd because it has such a dynamic range.
Lyrics
The road is narrow, Few will find it.
And life is hollow for those who don't.
I'm the way the truth, and I am the life,
the unspotted lamb and the world's only light.
There is only one God.
There is only Jesus.
Who'se blood and friendship
will make you say,
He's the only way.
Have you ever thought about life and death,
And the life that follows us after.
If even underneath your breath,
about how God sees sin and transgressors.
