Made for movie sound track with a Minnie the Moocher swing and swagger that only the Tiger could deliver. Check out this rendition for a year 2000 vote for the next Blues Brothers movie. |

Story Behind the Song
This was the first song heard upon initially deciding to do the CD project for Nellie Tiger Travis. It was written by Travis & Wheeler several years ago when the Tiger exclaimed that she had it like that and Wheeler started writing.
Lyrics
I Got It Like That
VERSE:
My friends used to ask me, how I’ve kept my man so long. And why you never here about him cheating, getting caught in the wrong. I don’t usually tell my secrets, I know you girls can understand. There’s just one way to explain, how I’ve held on to my man
CHORUS:
It’s cause I got it yall, I got it, I got it like that. You know I treat my man so good. He wouldn’t leave me if he could. I got it like that.
VERSE:
You know he goes to work every morning. Comes home early every night. He’s running home to see me. Cause he knows I’ll treat him right. I never have to beg him to buy me nice things. He always overwhelms me with the presents that he brings!
CHORUS:
It’s cause I got it yall, I got it, I got it like that. You know I treat my man so good he wouldn’t leave me if he could. I got it like that.
SOLO:
VERSE:
I don’t mean to sound conceited. Cause you can be the same way too. Just be good to your man. And make your man be good to you. You won’t have to run behind him. Trying to find out where he goes. Tell him like I told my man. He’s not the only one who knows!
CHORUS:
Is that I got it yall. I got it, I got it like that. You know I treat my man so good he wouldn’t leave if he could. I got it like that!
