Story Behind the Song
This song was originally written for a teenage female Phillipina vocalist and was recorded and distributed. The song was written by band member, Stephen J. Hemenway. After "The Slouch In The Couch Children's Corner Band" was created, "Stephen J." decided to re-record the tune to further extend the types of music the band performed.
Lyrics
I feel the heat,
of the drum beat,
Come flowin down,
into my feet,
Just want to move,
Across the floor,
And glide across,
As though no chore,
The stars they shine,
Like seasoned wine,
My bodys sparkling,
Give me a sign,
For Ill let go,
The World Ill show,
Just what I know,
Dance Dance Dance,
it feels all right,
To Rock and roll,
on a Saturday night,
Come lets play,
Dance all night,
Dance Dance Dance,
With all your might,
What I feel,
it sets the pace,
That keeps me rockin,
all over the place,
Dance Dance Dance,
Come on let go,
I feel the beat,
from the radio Just wanna dance
Dance
I feel the heat,
of the drum beat,
Come flowin down,
into my feet,
Just want to move,
Across the floor,
And glide across,
As though no chore,
The stars they shine,
Like seasoned wine,
My bodys sparkling,
Give me a sign,
For Ill let go,
The World Ill show,
Just what I know,
And Ill Dance,
Yes Ill Dance,
All the night
Dance Dance Dance,
it feels all right,
To Rock and roll,
on a Saturday night,
Come lets play,
Dance all night,
Dance Dance Dance,
With all your might,
What I feel,
it sets the pace,
That keeps me rockin,
all over the place,
Dance Dance Dance,
Come on let go,
I feel the beat,
from the radio, Just wanna dance
Dance, Dance, Dance,
Were going to Dance Dance Dance,
Everybody lets Dance Dance Dance,
Were going to Dance Dance Dance,
Im going to Dance the night on through,
Just wanna Dance, just wanna dance with you,
Dance Dance Dance,
Were going to Dance, Dance, Dance,
Just wanna Dance, Dance, Dance,
Were gonna Dance, Dance, Dance,
Just wanna Dance!
